This beautifully restored Victorian cottage sits just metres from the water’s edge in one of Devon’s most sought-after coastal villages. With direct access to a private beach cove and a walled cottage garden to the rear, it’s the perfect escape for families or groups of up to six.

The Space

Step through the front door into a bright, airy interior that honours the building’s heritage while adding every modern comfort. Original stone floors, sash windows, and stripped wood beams are paired with contemporary furniture and a fully-updated kitchen.

The country kitchen is well-equipped with an AGA, dishwasher, and everything needed for family cooking. A cosy wood-burning stove in the sitting room adds to the charm on cooler evenings.

Sleeping

Three bedrooms sleep six guests:

• Master bedroom: King-size with harbour views and en-suite shower room
• Bedroom 2: Double with sea glimpses
• Bedroom 3: Twin room

A family bathroom with roll-top bath serves bedrooms 2 and 3.

Outdoors

Step directly from the garden gate onto a sheltered sandy cove — one of the few privately accessible beaches in the area. The south-facing walled garden has a terrace, outdoor dining table, and a charcoal BBQ.

Location

Salcombe village is a 5-minute walk, with its galleries, restaurants, and water-sports hire. The coastal path for walking is accessible directly from the property. Exeter airport is 45 minutes by car.
